Yuan Wang builds and scales profitable software and digital businesses without relying on venture capital.

He is the co-founder of Studio Ninja, one of the world’s largest CRMs for wedding professionals, which he and Chris built without external investment and sold to Captura in 2023. Yuan now works as an internal founder and Head of Product, continuing to shape the platform he created.

He is also the founder of Yump, a UX and web agency that worked exclusively with not-for-profits, social enterprises, and government-funded organisations. Over a decade, Yump supported more than 100 organisations to design and build accessible, high-performing websites, and was acquired by Bright Labs in 2024.

Yuan is the author of Shoot Like a Ninja: 4 Steps to Work Less, Earn More and Superpower Your Photography Business and is currently writing Customers Not Investors, a book about building and scaling sustainable businesses through customers, discipline, and product craft — not fundraising.

His background spans entrepreneurship, product strategy, software development, and digital design. He has worked with Australian and international organisations, and his work has been recognised by the Australian Web Awards, Victorian Premier's Design Awards, and Communicator Awards.
